Play EuroPalace on Mac: Review

For this review we will take a look at EuroPalace, which accepts users from all over the world and uses software that is compatible with the Mac operating system.

Pokies Galore

EuroPalace uses the Microgaming brand, one of the biggest gambling software developers out there. This is a trusted brand that many gamblers have used at one point or another, so this is an area in which EuroPalace was always going to excel. They are constantly releasing new games, many of which are based on pop culture hits from past and present — from Jurassic Park and Terminator 2, to Game of Thrones and more. Some of their most popular games include the fantasy-themed Avalon II, the sequel to one of their biggest and oldest games; Secret Santa, a holiday-themed slot with several randomly released bonuses; and The Dark Knight Rises, based on the latest Batman blockbuster that pitted Bane against the Caped Crusader.

Our personal favourite was the Playboy online slot. This is more than just a pretty theme plastered on a standard pokie, and it includes several features that have not been seen in any other slot. The game is played by six people, each with their own interface, and when one of those players gets the three bonus symbols and enters into the bonus round, then the other players follow. That doesn’t mean you can sit back and wait for others to advance you into the bonus round though, as the bonus round is only worthwhile when you have increased your multiplier, and the only way to do that is to keep playing.

The minimum bets are a little higher than most pokies on the website, and the speed of the game can mean that your balance is depleted before you know it, but once you hit the bonus round then the rewards are tremendous.

The Breakaway pokie is also worth a play and comes with a very fun bonus round, whilst Hellboy, based on the comic and film character of the same name, also has a great bonus round.

Overall, we were very happy with the games. Microgaming is one of our favourite developers as they have the best pokies around, and EuroPalace do a very good job of facilitating them. They are also not shy of pumping money into the pokies, and the total progressive jackpots on the EuroPalace website — taking all of their games into consideration — amounts to over $5 million.

Bonuses and Banking

Regardless of the currency that you play in, EuroPalace will give you 500 of it to get you started. That’s $500 for all of our fellow Australian players, an amount that is split between your first and second deposits. They also offer a large number of free bets, and although this is not as profitable as the deposit bonus, it certainly comes in handy.

There are many deposit and withdrawal options at EuroPalace, and players can even receive a bonus if they use certain ones. All credit cards and debit cards are accepted, as is PayPal and bank transfers, but if you use one of 9 different online wallets — including EcoCard and Neteller but excluding PayPal — then you will receive a 10% bonus. Many of the same options apply when withdrawing your winnings, and you can also request a cheque. When it comes to withdrawals it can take a little longer for the money to reach you, usually up to a few days if you request a bank transfer or an e-payment, but it can be much longer if you request a cheque.

For all high-rollers out there we recommend setting up an e-wallet account in order to receive the bonus, because even if this is not what you would do normally, it’s worth the extra effort if you plan on depositing big. There are many to choose from but we found Skrill to be the quickest, easiest and by far the most reliable, and you can also withdraw any winnings to your Skrill account before moving them into your bank account.

Compatibility

Staying true to our name, Euro Palace is of course compatible with the Mac operating system. It should work with all versions of the Mac OS, but if you encounter any problems then you should try to upgrade to the latest edition as soon as you can — just click on “Update Software” and let your Mac do the rest.

As we mentioned earlier, there is also a mobile version of the game which works with iPads and iPhones and can either be downloaded from the Euro Palace website, or from the Apple App Store. It doesn’t come with all of the features that the full software does, but what it lacks there it more than makes up for it accessibility. After all, what’s more fun than playing slot machines on the go, in bed or even in the bath?

Safe, Secure and Regulated

EuroPalace, which uses the trading name Digimedia Ltd, operates under the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta, and their license was issued in the summer of 2010. They are audited by eCOGRA, which stands for eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance, and is used by many top casinos and other gambling companies worldwide. This website is as safe as it is possible to be, and security seems to be one of their top priorities, which is how it should be.

Summary

This is one of our favourite websites, and we really can’t fault it. The bonuses are great, it accepts Mac players and Australian players, and the fact that it uses Microgaming has to be commended. The banking options are also diverse and quick, and we know this because this is one of the sites that we play on regularly, and one that we have deposited to and withdrawn from a number of times.

Our score for EuroPalace is 9/10. As we said, it is difficult to find a fault, but the home pages of the website are a little amateurish, and some of the wording is a little odd. We’re nit-picking, but we wouldn’t feel right scoring anything 10 out of 10 unless we loved every single aspect of it.
