Harmony of the Seas Casino CruiseFollowing 32 months and $1 billion worth of construction off the coast of France, the world’s largest cruise ship, the MS Harmony of the Seas, set sail for its maiden voyage on Sunday, May 15, 2016. The crew waved proudly to a crowd of tens of thousands of well-wishers as the ship – destined to welcome millions to wine, dine and play slots upon the ocean – made it’s way towards the UK.

The 362 meter (1,187 feet) ship cut through the waves as it departed from the port town Saint-Nazaire, France, setting the world record for the largest cruise ship ever to set sail. With 16 decks and the widest ship body on record, Harmony of the Seas is larger than the Eiffel Tower and capable of supporting 6,296 passengers, along with a crew of 2,384.

With a throng of amenities, including an onboard park that boats over 10,000 plants and 50 trees, the cruise liner has been compared to a ‘floating city’. The capacious vessel was constructed with 2,500 stateroom accommodations, 20 restaurants and bars, nearly two dozen swimming pools and 7 “distinct neighborhoods” for guests to enjoy.

Play Slots at Casino Royale on Harmony of the SeasThe Casino Royale aboard Harmony of the Seas is lauded as “your little slice of Vegas right at sea“. Guests can play slots with anywhere from 3 to 9 classic reels, or spin the virtual reels on a wide range of popular video slots. Other gambling opportunities include video poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat and lucky ladies, as well as poker games like Caribbean Stud, Ultimate Texas Holdem, Omaha and Big Raise Stud.

There are many others forms of entertainment to partake in upon the colossal ship. Families will enjoy the DreamWorks Experience, featuring characters from your favorite DreamWorks films. There are specific adventure zones just for the kiddos, accommodating all age groups with the Royal Babies and Royal Tots nursery programs, multiple teen lounge and disco areas, the Adventure Ocean Youth Program and much more.

There’s nothing more fun than getting wet while riding the ocean waves, and Harmony of the Seas offers 23 swimming pools with the largest water slide at sea, the 10-story Ultimate Abyss, along with other multilevel adventure slides.

The casino cruise liner even boasts the first floating performance of Broadway’s famous Grease, The Musical. Then guests can head over to the live jazz club, comedy club, karaoke bar or one of the other many nightclubs to get their groove on. The Bionic Bar and Royal Promenade are sure to be popular spots with ‘robot bartenders’ that dance and serve up cocktails at the same time.

Rest and relaxation may be the number one goal of a cruise on Royal Caribbean‘s Harmony of the Seas, and venues like the Vitality Spa will certainly help achieve that goal, but if you want to stay in touch with the rest of the world, the ship provides fast free internet with plenty of bandwidth to accommodate a full passenger load.

The cruise liner is scheduled to dock in Southampton today, and will set sail for its maiden passenger voyage to Barcelona, Spain on Sunday, May 22nd, when the water slides are sure to be packed with laughing children and the casino will be rocking with cheering adults who play slots and toss chips at the tables.
